Application Deadline: “Furthering the Dream” Regional Educational Award

Please encourage applicants to the Soroptimist International of the Americas Sierra Pacific Region’s “Furthering the Dream” Educational Award!

The award will be given to a woman living in the Sierra Pacific Region who is completing a graduate degree program or is pursuing her Bachelor studies.

(Soroptimist members and family members are excluded from competition.) The eligibility criteria and administration of the program is as follows:

1. The application pool will be open to all women in the region, particularly previous Soroptimist Live Your Dream awardees and applicants.
2. The award has been expanded to applicants pursuing Bachelor studies, as well as postgraduate education.
3. Particular encouragement is given to women who are pursuing educational pathways in industries non-traditional for women (such as engineering, science, etc.), as well as to women pursuing studies that will improve the lives of women and girls.
4. The application deadline is March 1, 2021, with the award being made in May 2021.
